DUO Conference attracts major European customers
 
The 2001 European Dalim Software User Organisation (EuroDUO) Conference, held recently in Paris (6-7 December), attracted the largest number of Dalim Software distributors and customers to date to discuss the company’s product development plans and preview powerful new features and functionality planned for release over the coming months.

Various Dalim Software print, prepress and publishing customers, as well as regional distributors, from across Europe attended the event including UK companies: TAG Worldwide,  Watt Gilchrist, Colour Systems, Stars; TM Design, BDP,  Dutch security printer: Joh. Enshede; French prepress house: Hafiba, the French offices of Quebecor, plus German publishing/printer giant Gruner and Jahr.

These customers are high-level users of some or all of Dalim Software’s powerful production tools including: TWiST intelligent automated workflow software, SWiNG pre-configured workflows, DALiM LiTHO image retouching and page assembly software, and DALiM FiCELLE, Dalim Software’s unique internet-based production management system.

The meeting, which also included special guest presentations from Apple Computer and SGI, provided a series of technology workshops, user application profiles, new product directions and strategies, and a forum to assist Dalim Software with future product development.

The event culminated in a visit to Hafiba to witness how the company uses DALiM FiCELLE, in association with its publisher customers and printers at remote locations, to display, track and administer multiple publication content in real time over the Internet.
