And right in time, hot off the press from Continental Web Press, the 15th edition of our THEMAGAZINE has been delivered to our booth.
This edition of THEMAGAZINE features on its cover a page from the Gutenberg bible – but it’s displayed on a tablet in its unique print layout, appearing exactly as if Gutenberg himself was validating it! You may appreciate this image as a sign of our strong belief in the harmony of both worlds.
Whether or not you will be able to visit us at Graph Expo, we hope you will enjoy reading this issue, in print or online, as much as we had putting it together – as always, like any publisher, at the very last minute.
P + E Digital Premedia build ad delivery tool with the ES API
More than 20 years of experience in the graphic arts industry, but also the passion and devotion to be in touch with new technology, are just a few key factors in P + E’s continuous effort to help marketing specialists to obtain better results for each dollar spent on a campaign.
And in order to develop an upgrade on their existing digital tool set to perform all the checks on ads for newspaper and magazine printing, DALIM SOFTWARE’s ES solution was chosen because it showed good flexibility and offered the ideal conditions for proper management of preflight, approval and delivery control of the files submitted by P + E’s customers.
“Utilizing the API, DALIM SOFTWARE’s ES offered even better results and we managed to have a new tool, with enhanced capabilities, in a very short time. That would have been almost impossible, if the integration with other tools like DALIM SOFTWARE’s TWIST were not at hand”, adds Edson Okuda, Process Manager at P + E.
More on P + E and their ES integration can be found in the next issue of our THEMAGAZINE.
Gutenberg networks, a multi-channel production agency in France and subsidiary of DDB Group, has just integrated DIALOGUE Engine 3 into its easyPack packaging tool. Daphné Deledicq, Business Development Manager, talks about how easy this integration was.
Franklin Event Celebrates Its 60th Anniversary hosted by Printing Industries Alliance
The room was filled mostly with the A-list of business men and women, who lead their companies to success while making positive impact in the graphic communications industry and in the community. The Franklin Event honors distinguished leaders who are open to ideas and extend support for the industry, and DALIM SOFTWARE is proud to be part of a grand tradition that recognizes a network of great men and women for their ingenuity and services. Historically, the roster of honorees included U.S. presidents, statesmen, diplomats, military leaders, and prominent leaders in business and the arts. The awards ceremony started at 7:00 pm. The guests of honor and their presenters took their places at the table on stage.
First up was the prestigious Franklin Award for Distinguished Services and it was presented to Howard Draft, Executive Chairman of Draftfcb. He is an entrepreneur and is known for his thought leadership in the art and science of marketing to consumers. Our esteemed colleague Gary Dolgins of Blanchard Systems, Inc. presented the next award, Award for Printing, to Mr. Thomas Saggiomo, President and CEO of DG3 Group.
The next two recipients were:
Kit Taylor, Chief Operating Officer of New York Media LLC, received the Award for Publishing
Paul Nicholson, Sr. Vice President, Production & Technology, of Showtime Networks, Inc., received the Award for Adverstising
The speeches from these recipients all pointed to one theme: love what you’re doing, to which I add, and success will follow naturally. Perhaps the most moving speech came from Dwight E. Vicks, III, President of Vicks Lithograph & Printing. He received the John Peter Zenger Medal Award for his charitable work with the International Thyroid Oncology Group (ITOG). When I spoke to him after the ceremony, Dwight refused to take all the limelight. He acknowledged his wife, who is currently battling a rare form of thyroid cancer, to be his inspiration and recognized all the doctors and researchers working at ITOG.
As the awards ceremony ended, the sun has already set. The night skyline of New Jersey gave us the perfect backdrop as the night of networking continued on with decadent desserts and an open bar.
