GHENT, BELGIUM – 26 April 2018 – The Ghent Workgroup is pleased to announce that DALIM Software has achieved GWG preflight certification for its ES and DIALOGUE software. The certification means compliancy for all stakeholders using DALIM’s productivity workflow and communication software. Based in Kehl, Germany, DALIM Software GmbH is a highly regarded designer and provider of scalable software solutions for the creation, production and management of cross-media content for corporate brands, media publishing, advertising, printing and creative services.
Using GWG specifications means companies can have the confidence that their PDF files are validated. The management of PDF files can be a huge task for all businesses. Ghent Workgroup continues to research and build expertise through standardization, certification and compliance. Their PDF toolbox can help designers and creatives in particular develop and share a common language.
David van Driessche, Executive Director of the Ghent Workgroup says, “GWG specifications provide software providers, designers and creatives with the ability to perfectly reproduce a PDF, not only saving time and costs but offering uniformity and high quality results. Having an agreed set of rules that is used across the board is our ambition. We work to encourage all those engaged in the production and management of cross media content to see the advantages that compliancy with GWG specifications can bring to them and their businesses. We know that DALIM Software and its customers can onlywill certainly benefit from this certification.”
Fred Sanuy, Director of Marketing & Partner Programs, Enterprise Solutions at DALIM Software says, “We are focused on complete project management for marketing departments. The work of the Ghent Workgroup is crucial in maintaining standards within the industries. GWG specifications are recognized as a vital component in file creation for all those involved in marketing, packaging, design and production. Using DALIM Software, brands and marketing service providers can integrate efficient content communication and color accurate PDF soft proofing from design through to the press-room. They are able to manage dynamic content and drive text from inside Adobe InDesign.”
Sanuy continues, “Packaging is an important component of the marketing promotion mix and it is crucial to be able to preflight and normalize a packaging file using the most recent standards. We believe no tool can manage all of its features without the latest GWG specifications. It is imperative that DALIM ES and DALIM DIALOGUE (for softproofing) can support features for layers, spot colors and transparencies inside packaging files.”
van Driessche states, “The more vendors we can bring on board means the more the industries benefit overall. The bottom line is actually savings in time and costs. This is what the adoption of GWG specifications can mean to a business. Companies need to worry much less about the technical aspects or the errors in the files. The GWG specs do the work for them. Designers and creatives just want to see their files reproduced as they had imagined. Following the latest GWG specifications enables the designer and software developer to output all PDF files to any device with supreme confidence that the result will be perfectly reproduced error free. This saves time and maximizes efficiency. It can be a game changer!”
