As a software company, DALIM SOFTWARE is committed to positive environmental, economic and social impact. Our sustainability program aligns with the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals, providing a clear framework and roadmap to guide our actions and measure progress.
17 Goals for People and Planet
In 2015 world leaders adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development - 17 SDGs that commit us to protecting human rights, improving well‑being, and preserving a healthy planet for all. Click + to see how DALIM SOFTWARE is has incorporated each of the 17 SDGs.
SDG 1 addresses the root causes of poverty — including the new pressures from climate change and conflict — and calls for policies and services that protect vulnerable people.
At DALIM SOFTWARE, we wanted to take practical action. With our headquarters and many team members in Germany, we chose to expand hiring globally to create opportunities beyond our home market. Our first step was direct recruitment in Brazil, opening new pathways to meaningful employment and shared prosperity.
End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition, and promote sustainable agriculture.
SDG 2 addresses the links between food security, nutrition, rural development and sustainable farming. With roughly 690 million people worldwide facing hunger, the issue affects communities everywhere — including here in Germany and France.
At DALIM SOFTWARE, we support local food banks through volunteering and long‑term partnerships to help tackle food insecurity in our own communities.
Ensure healthy lives and promote well‑being for all at all ages.
Good health is central to sustainable development. SDG 3 addresses inequalities, urbanization, climate impacts, infectious diseases and the growing challenge of non‑communicable illnesses.
At DALIM, we support our people’s physical and mental well‑being with practical measures: e‑bike lease options to encourage active commuting, standing desks in our offices, and weekly deliveries of fresh organic fruit from the local market.
Ensure inclusive, equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning for all.
SDG 4 seeks universal access to quality education and lifelong learning, including targets for literacy and numeracy.
At DALIM, we view education as an ongoing commitment. We partner with schools and universities to host interns year‑round, so they can earn their master’s while gaining practical experience, and are establishing a green committee to broaden sustainability education and cross‑team collaboration.
Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.
SDG 5 promotes equal rights, opportunity and full participation for women and girls.
At DALIM SOFTWARE we support gender balance and early access to tech careers — we welcome interns of all genders into IT roles, partner with Germany’s "Girls’ Day" to give middle‑school girls hands‑on experience in a software company, and proudly sponsor "Women in Print."
Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all.
SDG 6 supports health, education and poverty reduction by ensuring clean water and sanitation.
As a software company our direct impact is limited, so we focus on responsible water use in our offices: we’ve eliminated single‑use plastic bottles and installed filtered water stations to reduce waste and promote sustainable consumption.
Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all.
Energy underpins well‑being, economic development and poverty reduction.
At DALIM SOFTWARE, energy powers our operations and product development. Since 2014 our facilities have been powered by hydroelectricity, saving over 1,000 tonnes of CO2e. In 2021 we switched heating to biogas, cutting roughly 60 tonnes of CO2e per year, and we plan to install solar panels on our headquarters to further reduce our footprint.
Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, and decent work for all.
This goal seeks economic systems that provide fair opportunities and living standards for everyone, regardless of background.
At DALIM SOFTWARE, it aligns with our commitments under SDG 1 and SDG 3 — ensuring decent pay, safe working conditions and career opportunities for all employees, from Kehl to São Paulo.

At DALIM SOFTWARE, we translate this into practice by ensuring fair pay, safe workplaces and clear career pathways for all employees — from Kehl to São Paulo — supporting long‑term, inclusive economic opportunity.
This goal — often called "shared prosperity" — complements SDG 1 and applies across all nations.
To help close gaps, we partner with local organisations that integrate people from diverse nationalities and backgrounds. We also support community sport and inclusion by sponsoring the CS Reichstett women’s handball team and the FV Kehl football and basketball teams.
Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable.
SDG 11 promotes better urban planning, public transport, and greener public spaces.
At DALIM SOFTWARE we encourage greener commuting (bikes and e‑mobility) and plan to convert our headquarters into a Green Building to cut energy use and improve local air quality. We also sponsor Kehl’s zero‑waste store Das LoLo and support its logistics with access to our company fleet to reduce vehicle use.
SDG 12 promotes eco‑friendly production, waste reduction and higher recycling rates, and calls for corporate sustainability and transparency.
At DALIM SOFTWARE we use renewable energy, prioritize equipment longevity and repair, and shift procurement toward responsible choices—from organic food and glass bottled water to planned zero‑waste snacks—to reduce office waste.
Take urgent action on climate change by cutting emissions and accelerating clean energy.
SDG 13 and SDG 7 are linked: switching to renewables and improving energy efficiency are key to meeting Paris Agreement targets.
We’ve measured our annual operational footprint to target reductions effectively. Where emissions remain, we offset them — with the ambition to become carbon‑negative and ultimately offset all DALIM SOFTWARE emissions since our founding in 2000.
Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development.
Key targets include reducing marine pollution, protecting and restoring ecosystems, curbing ocean acidification, promoting sustainable fishing, and eliminating harmful subsidies.
Although our operations have limited direct impact on marine environments, we act responsibly: we’ve cut single‑use plastics and choose low‑impact promotional items and merchandise.
Protect and restore terrestrial ecosystems, manage forests sustainably, combat desertification, and halt biodiversity loss.
This goal safeguards livelihoods for future generations. To support biodiversity and offset emissions, we will engage in local restoration projects in the Black Forest and Alsace to help bring wildlife back to our region.
Promote peaceful, inclusive societies, ensure access to justice, and build effective, accountable institutions.
Reducing violent crime, trafficking, forced labour and child abuse requires strong, fair institutions and rule of law.
Our software helps institutions operate more efficiently — amplifying the impact of well‑run organisations. We are exploring ways to broaden access to our solutions for public and non‑profit institutions to support justice and good governance.
Strengthen implementation and revitalize global partnerships for sustainable development.
SDG 17 calls for cross‑sector and cross‑border collaboration to achieve the 2030 Agenda.
