Adobe2Dalim -  Keep Acrobat PDF Annotations Inside DALIM FUSION

A simple connector that captures every Adobe Acrobat markup and brings it back into DALIM FUSION.

When is Adobe2Dalim needed?

In an ideal world, every comment and markup would stay inside DALIM FUSION’s enterprise-grade review and approval environment — where annotations are centralized, audited, secure, trackable, and part of a governed workflow. This guarantees accountability, version control, and a complete history of all decisions.

However, you can’t always control workflows outside your environment.

Upstream brand teams, downstream suppliers, print partners, translators, or other external stakeholders often use basic Adobe Acrobat desktop annotations instead of reviewing inside DALIM FUSION.

Sometimes this happens because of security constraints, access limitations, or simply because they are outside your internal ecosystem.

When these Acrobat-marked PDFs return to you, the comments normally disappear — because the annotations are not part of the actual PDF file, this forces teams to re-enter notes manually and it breaks the audit trail.

Adobe2Dalim ensures no annotation is ever lost, even when it comes from outside your DALIM environment. DALIM access for security, compliance, or competitive reasons

How Does It Work?

Adobe2Dalim converts Adobe Acrobat annotations into DALIM FUSION notes automatically upon upload. No retyping. No missed feedback. No audit gaps.

All comments — internal and external — appear together inside DALIM FUSION’s high-resolution viewer.

Supported Annotation Types

Adobe2Dalim captures all common Acrobat markups, including:

  • Text comments & insertions

  • Highlights, underlines, strikethrough

  • Freehand drawings

  • Shapes

Annotations are placed exactly where reviewers created them.

External reviewers can still download a PDF with all DALIM FUSION notes included, ensuring visibility without platform access. If your process requires other annotation formats, the connector can be extended to support them.
